Bilingual Family Advocate
The Family Advocate’s job is to provide advocacy, crisis intervention, and short-term case management services to child victims of sexual abuse and their families who are referred to the Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center. The Family Advocate conducts a thorough assessment of the child and the non-offending caregiver’s mental health and social functioning and makes any referrals necessary to meet identified needs. The Family Advocate provides the child and family with education about the investigative process, about their rights, about trauma and the impact of trauma on children and families, and about any other related needs. The Family Advocate acts as a liaison for the family with the MDT and also acts as a voice for the family with the team or supports and encourages the family to speak on their own behalf with the team. The Family Advocate supports a family throughout a child sexual abuse investigation, intake through disposition. The Family Advocate will deliver culturally sensitive and well-coordinated care.
Ensemble Member – Imagination Theater
Ensemble Members are part-time employees who are able to perform all Imagination Theater programming. This includes using interactive theatre and improv to teach students various social emotional skills from empathy and conflict resolution to sexual abuse prevention and education. Imagination Theater’s professional ensemble is a core team of actors and teaching artists who tour dynamic programming to schools and other communities. Imagination Theater shows allow audiences to become aware of a problem by watching a scripted scene, more knowledgeable about the issue at hand through a guided discussion, and offers a chance for audiences to apply what they’ve learned immediately through role play where students make a safer choice in an improvised scene with professional actors.
Grants Accountant / Revenue Specialist
The Grants Accountant is responsible for assisting the Chief Financial and Operations Officer with financial duties for Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center including but not limited to monthly accounting and reporting, accounts receivable, and grant reporting and compliance.
Human Trafficking Specialist
The Human Trafficking Specialist’s primary responsibility is to provide outreach activities focused on victims of human trafficking. Outreach activities include establishing a trusting relationship with potential trafficking victims, build victim-identity, assist them to construct a safe, realistic, and culturally-sensitive plan to leave trafficking, and assist them to create a safe, realistic plan for sustaining life after exit by providing comprehensive case management. The Human Trafficking Specialist serves to assist in coordinating the investigative, law enforcement and child protection work of CPD, DCFS and Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Human Trafficking cases in the city of Chicago as well as coordination of cases in the State of Illinois with the FBI and Department of Homeland Security.
Marketing & Communications Specialist
The Marketing and Communications Specialist develops strategic, mission‑driven content that elevates the organization’s brand, supports engagement and fundraising goals, and strengthens audience connection. This role creates high-quality written and visual content across digital and print channels, develops campaign landing pages, embeds and optimizes donation experiences, and provides insights through ongoing KPI reporting. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing and Communications Specialist is an integral member of the Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center (ChicagoCAC) marketing and communications team, transforming the experiences of our community, staff, and partners into compelling content that increases engagement, activates donors, inspires supporters, and honors those we serve.
