Help children start off their school year strong!
Every summer, ChicagoCAC strives to provide 500 children and their siblings with brand-new backpacks and other important school supplies. We want to ensure that as they recover from the trauma of abuse, our children don’t have to worry about getting the educational tools they need to excel. By sending kids to school with the right tools, we help them succeed and give their caregivers one less thing to worry about.

We’re now accepting donations for NEW, UNUSED backpacks and school supplies. We’re looking for backpacks, binders, folders, scientific calculators, scissors, mechanical pencils, and so much more. To order directly from our wishlist or arrange a bulk donation drop-off of items you’ve purchased yourself, please use the buttons below.
Please Note:
- All donated items must be new and unused. In order to ensure all of our children receive the high-quality, reliable school supplies that all students deserve, we are not accepting any donations of used items.
- All items must be received at our main facility (1240 S. Damen Avenue) by Friday, August 7, 2026.
