We understand that you may be nervous about coming to Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center (ChicagoCAC).

We are here to help you and your child. We have helped more than 45,000 children and families like yours since we opened our doors in 2001.

ChicagoCAC is a child-friendly place where children can be comfortable. Our building is bright and colorful, and every room has children’s furniture, books and toys. We are a professional, caring, welcoming place for everyone: our staff members are all deeply committed to helping kids. Every step of our work is designed to help children by making them feel comfortable and supporting them and their caregivers. All of our services are completely free.

Information for Caregivers

Your visit to ChicagoCAC will have a few steps, including a visit with an advocate to talk about your family’s needs, a forensic interview for your child, and possibly a medical exam.

Information for Youth

Children have questions about ChicagoCAC, what to expect, and what will happen.
