ChicagoCAC hosts fundraising, awareness, and client-focused events throughout the year.
Our events spread the word about the center, inform people about the important role we play in keeping children safe and help fund the vital programs we provide. Here’s a guide to our regularly scheduled events each year!
Child Abuse Prevention Month
During April, in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month, ChicagoCAC has special content and activities throughout April on its social media pages, and sometimes partners with outside organizations to host events honoring and celebrating survivors. Check back here for updates!
Luminary Award Dinner
In the spring, hundreds of professionals, community leaders, and other supporters join us to recognize a special luminary for lighting the path toward hope and healing for children.
Associates Board Fundraiser
Join ChicagoCAC’s Associates Board for their summer fundraising event! Chicago professionals are invited for an after-work outing of beer, BBQ, raffles and networking, all to support ChicagoCAC. This year, join us at River Roast for “Night Under the Lights“.
Back to School Backpack Drive
Every fall, we provide new backpacks filled with school supplies to ChicagoCAC clients and their families. By providing them with the right tools, we help our kids succeed in school and give their parents one less thing to worry about.
Fall and Winter Events
A Night of Heroes
Each fall, hundreds of people join us to raise funds and support children and families served at ChicagoCAC. The evening includes food, drinks, a silent auction, and raffles. (This event was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic, but we look forward to hosting it again in 2021).
Holiday Toy Drive
ChicagoCAC hosts an annual Holiday Toy Drive for more than 600 clients, their siblings, and caregivers to celebrate the spirit of the season and ensure that families have gifts for the holidays.
