ChicagoCAC hosts fundraising, awareness, and client-focused events throughout the year.

Our events spread the word about the center, inform people about the important role we play in keeping children safe and help fund the vital programs we provide.

Child Abuse Prevention Month

April

In recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month, ChicagoCAC’s community advisory council hosts BEYOND WORDS, a reception to honor survivors.

Luminary Award Dinner

May

In the spring, hundreds of professionals, community leaders, and other supporters join us to recognize a special luminary for lighting the path toward hope and healing for children.  For 2021, we will be holding two online events (one national, one Chicago-specific) in May in place of our usual Luminary Awards Dinner.

Brew & ‘Que

June

Join ChicagoCAC’s Associates Board for their summer fundraising event, Brew & ‘Que! Chicago professionals are invited for an after-work outing of beer, BBQ, raffles and networking, all to support ChicagoCAC. (This event was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic, but we look forward to hosting it again in 2021.)

Back to School Backpack Drive

August

Every fall, we provide new backpacks filled with school supplies to ChicagoCAC clients and their families. By providing them with the right tools, we help our kids succeed in school and give their parents one less thing to worry about.

A Night of Heroes

October

Each fall, hundreds of people  join us to raise funds and support children and families served at ChicagoCAC. The evening includes food, drinks, a silent auction, and raffles. (This event was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic, but we look forward to hosting it again in 2021).

Holiday Toy Drive

November-December

ChicagoCAC hosts an annual Holiday Toy Drive for more than 600 clients, their siblings, and caregivers to celebrate the spirit of the season and ensure that families have gifts for the holidays.
