Our annual Luminary Award Dinner celebrates ChicagoCAC’s vital work battling abuse and restoring lives – and recognizes a luminary figure doing much-needed work on behalf of Chicago’s children.

The Luminary Award Dinner hosts over 300 Chicago area professionals, community leaders, and other friends of ChicagoCAC who come together to celebrate and support our mission and vision.

During National Child Abuse Prevention Month this past April, we gathered at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago for our 7th Annual Luminary Award Dinner. This year, we honored U.S Senator Dick Durbin for his steadfast work on behalf of abuse victims, survivors, and those who help them heal.

Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception, dinner, silent and live auctions, and a program featuring a keynote address by author and activist Erin Merryn, the namesake of Erin’s Law, and focusing on the impact of ChicagoCAC’s programs on the children and families we serve. Proceeds from the Luminary Award Dinner help fund ChicagoCAC’s ongoing work investigating abuse, advocating for children and families, educating the community about abuse prevention, and restoring the lives of children impacted by sexual abuse and other trauma.
