ChicagoCAC offers free and low-cost webinars and training events for individuals, including caregivers and community members, as well as professionals working with youth or survivors.

A link to pay for and receive Continuing Education credits will be available at the conclusion of trainings for Illinois licensed social workers, counselors, or psychologists.

Understanding Human Trafficking 101
January 16, 2026 | 10 AM – 12 PM
Presented by Liz Baudler, ChicagoCAC Education Specialist, and Haley Elson, ChicagoCAC Human Trafficking Specialist, MSW, LSW
This training is an introduction to ideas and concepts related to trafficking co-facilitated by one of ChicagoCAC’s Human Trafficking specialists. Content will focus on:
- Defining both sex and labor trafficking with examples of each
- Identifying myths around trafficking
- Exploring some strategies and approaches for trafficking screening
- Highlighting vulnerabilities to trafficking and best practices for approaching survivors
- Familiarizing audience with Chicago-area trafficking resources
- A trafficking case study from ChicagoCAC
- Discussing prevention vs. intervention
CEUs will be available for eligible professionals.
Gender-based Violence & Trauma
January 27, 2026 | 10 AM – 1 PM

This free, 3 hour in person training is geared towards professionals who may encounter survivors of Gender Based Violence (GBV) in their work environment. The training will explore four forms of GBV: domestic violence, stalking, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Participants will:
- Leave with a better understanding of each form of GBV
- Learn about ways that trauma can present in survivors
- Have resources and tools to help, including trauma-informed responses and local and national organizations that can assist
- Earn 3 CEUs if licensed
