CHICAGO, IL, Jul. 20, 2026 – Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center announced this week that Carolyn S. Daley has been elected to serve as President of the organization’s Board of Directors.
ChicagoCAC is the city’s front-line responder to reports of child sexual abuse and has served over 52,000 children since opening its doors in 2001. ChicagoCAC coordinates the efforts of child protection and law enforcement professionals, medical and mental health experts, and family advocates under one roof to prevent and respond to child abuse, domestic violence, and other serious maltreatment for families across Chicago.

Daley has supported ChicagoCAC’s efforts to create a safer world for children for nearly a decade. Since joining the Board of Directors in 2020, she has served as a key member of ChicagoCAC’s Policy & Government Affairs Council and has supported the organization as a sponsor and host committee member for several major fundraising events, including this year’s record-breaking Luminary Award Dinner.
“Throughout my legal career, I have seen the profound and lasting effects of child sexual abuse on survivors and their families. Those experiences reinforce why ChicagoCAC’s work is so essential. As Board President, I look forward to supporting the agency in delivering coordinated response, advocacy, and healing that children and families deserve. Together we have an opportunity to create a safer world for children,” said Daley.
Daley is a Partner with Power Rogers LLP, where she concentrates her practice on personal injury and wrongful death cases, including medical malpractice, sexual abuse and assault, transportation accidents, and defamation. Notably, she represented the survivor whose case inspired IL House Bill 222, which amended the Code of Civil Procedure to bar defendants from shifting blame onto child sexual abuse survivors in civil claims.
Outside of her work with ChicagoCAC, Daley serves as the Georgetown Scholars Program Chair for the Chicago region, as a member of the Board of Directors for Special Children’s Charities, and as a member of the Advisory Board for Achilles International. She also serves on the Chicago Bar Association’s Judicial Evaluation Committee and the Illinois Supreme Court Board of Admissions to the Bar, Committee of Character and Fitness.
Daley succeeds Melissa Washington, Senior Vice Present of Customer Operations and Chief Customer Officer for ComEd, who served as board president since 2024.
