New training: Supporting non-offending caregivers

Join Resource Manager Katy Irving, LCSW, for our second new training this April: Supporting Non-Offending Caregivers after Child Sexual Abuse. Katy will equip professionals with the skills and resources to reduce stress and isolation of caregivers, and she’ll share the ways ChicagoCAC’s family advocates, intensive case managers and other staff help our clients heal. Yesterday, our team spent three hours with a training class of 160 new detectives, teaching them about our work on investigations of child sexual abuse, our physical abuse program (MPEEC) and our forensic interviewing services for many types of cases. We’re thrilled to talk with detectives about how ChicagoCAC helps children and families in Chicago, and how we work alongside and support Chicago Police Department.
