CCAC Featured in the Chicago Tribune
The Chicago Tribune featured an article on the Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center in the Sunday, November 1 edition. The article tells the story of four sisters who were sexually abused by their stepfather. The CCAC provided these girls with the assistance they needed and deserved, through a successful investigation and prosecution process, and onto the road to recovery. Their story is just one example that represents thousands of other abused Chicago children and their families who have found hope and healing at the CCAC. The CCAC’s Mental Health Manager Dr. Ana Nunez and Executive Director Char Rivette were also featured in this article describing the sense of safety that the CCAC provides abused children and their families.
“I see us as a castle,” said Char Rivette, “like a safe, little, walled-in castle.”
The Chicago Tribune also supports the CCAC through Chicago Tribune Holiday Giving, a campaign of Chicago Tribune Charities, a McCormick Foundation Fund.
