2nd Annual Guys Night Out for the Kids is a blast!

The 2nd Annual Guys Night Out for the Kids was held on Friday, May 8, and continued to build on last year’s success, generating close to $80,000 for the CCAC.  Over 350 attendees began the evening under beautiful blue skies in the courtyard at Carmichael’s Chicago Steak House.  From 5 to 6pm, they enjoyed the outdoor Happy Hour, featuring Vienna Beef hot dogs and Goose Island Beer.

The party moved inside at 6pm, and everyone enjoyed the offerings including a whiskey tasting, hand rolled cigars, massages, and pictures with the Luv-a-Bulls.  Athletes on hand included the Chicago Bull’s Linton Johnson, former White Sox player Ron Kittle, and the Kansas City Chief’s Corey Mays.

The evening was once again dedicated to the legacy of Mike Fitzgerald, former Business Manager for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union No. 134 and a founding board member at the CCAC. Mr. Michael Hughes, a long term supporter of the CCAC, was recognized with The J. Michael Fitzgerald Award for his dedication to the abused children of Chicago.
