Executive Volunteer Opportunities

The Board of Directors is responsible for providing oversight and direction for the agency as a whole and within each division. The Board is also responsible for supporting the fundraising goals of the agency through personal contribution and assistance in identification, cultivation, and solicitation of prospective donors.

Time Involvement: Quarterly meetings - two hours in length. Participation in a sub-committee of the Board as segmented below.

The Marketing Communications Committee is charged with working to broaden the outreach and awareness of the CCAC through expanded marketing, public relations, and training/outreach. Their responsibilities include increasing public and professional education and outreach efforts through general media and targeted outreach campaigns.

Time Involvement: Monthly teleconference and quarterly in-person meetings - one hour in length

The Development Committee is charged with providing leadership and oversight to the private operational and capital fundraising efforts of the CCAC and their responsibilities include providing oversight and support to the capital campaign; increasing the ratio of private to public funding for CCAC Operations and increasing annual fundraising appeals.

Time involvement: Quarterly meetings - two hours in length.

The Government Relations Committee is responsible for broadening outreach and awareness of the CCAC among legislators and government officials; in attempt to secure legislation that supports the mission of the organization and government appropriations and funding in support of operating costs and the capital expansion project.

Time involvement: Bi-monthly meetings - one hour in length.



The Associates Board is a new group of young professionals who share a passion for the mission and work of the Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center.  Members are emerging leaders from various professions and backgrounds who support the CCAC by raising funds and building awareness.  The Associates Board provides opportunities for young professionals with busy schedules to:
• Promote the safety, health and well-being of abused children.
• Gain leadership and philanthropic experience.
• Network professionally and socially.
