A Model Program That Works

In August 2001, the doors to the CCAC opened. Mayor Richard M. Daley and other dignitaries were present for a ribbon cutting ceremony that officially changed the system for sexually abused children. Since then, the partner agencies and CCAC staff of family and court advocates, mental health counselors, intake coordinators and forensic interviewers, have worked together to serve thousands of Chicago’s abused children allowing them to live fuller, happier lives.
