A Reception Honoring Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse
Sun. April 8th, 2-5 p.m.

Guests will enjoy artwork created by ChicagoCAC clients, spoken word poetry, and an ice cream sundae bar. During the event, guests will have the opportunity to create art to contribute to our interactive prevention-focused exhibit. All materials will be provided.
Community members of all ages are welcome. This free event will include discussion of child sexual abuse prevention and survivorship. A suggested donation may be made at the door to ChicagoCAC.
This event is organized by ChicagoCAC’s Community Advisory Council in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month 2018
This art display will move throughout the city during the month of April!
- April 8, 2018: Beyond Words reception 2-5pm at the Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center– 1240 S. Damen Ave.
- Week of April 9, 2018: Newly Renovated Woodson Library – 9525 S Halsted St.
- Week of April 16, 2018: James R. Thompson Center Atrium – 100 W. Randolph St.
- April 23, 2018: Children’s Libary at Harold Washington Library – 400 S State St.
The mission of Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center’s Community Advisory Council is to broaden awareness of child sexual and physical abuse and the center as a resource. Members of this group receive training and serve as ambassadors for ChicagoCAC in their communities and beyond. Learn more.
